Joe Maurillo is a licensed Life, Health, Property and Casualty Producer in the State of New Jersey. He has worked with public and private sector clients for over ten years to satisfy their insurance needs. Joe has amassed a team of professional brokers and independent consultants who have marketed unique and diverse fully insured and self-insured products.
Joe has extensive experience working with the public sector employers on the design, funding and administration of innovative and cost-effective medical and workers' compensation programs.
Joe has spent a good portion of the last twenty years in diverse entrepreneurial ventures. Joe is most proud of the work IMAC has done to expand its public sector health insurance business. His business philosophy is to exceed the clients' expectations.
Joe's community involvement includes being founder of the Cheer Me Up Foundation, an organization that helps sick children and needy families. He is also on the Board of the Garden State Cancer Center and is a supporter of many local charities. Joe is on the Board of Directors of the Fairfield UNICO Chapter and is a member of the Fairfield Knights of Columbus, the Nutley Elks, Essex County Association of School Business Officials, the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials (NJASBO) and the Belleville Education Foundation.
Barry Maurillo is a licensed Life and Health Producer in the State of New Jersey. Barry has spent his entire career in the financial services industry, he was previously a Financial Advisor where he assisted clients with individual life insurance and retirement planning needs. In addition, Barry was a Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he specialized in regulatory compliance projects for large insurance companies and broker-dealer clients.
Barry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University. Barry also received a Master’s in Business Administration from Rutgers University, with specializations in Finance and Supply Chain.
Thomas D. Ucko
Director of Consulting Services
Tom Ucko is a consultant with over 25 years of experience in employee benefits. Tom's areas of expertise include the design and operation of group health, dental and prescription drug plans, the design and implementation of Section 125 cafeteria plans, and the review and analysis of pending and new legislation, regulations and other developments in employee benefits. Tom's expertise covers all areas of benefits including retirement, health & welfare, compensation and flexible benefits. Tom is a licensed Accident and Health insurance producer in the State of New Jersey.
Tom lives in Summit, NJ. He was also Vice Chairman of the Board and Chair of the Audit Committee of Hilltop Community Bank before its merger with Haven Savings Bank. Tom is currently Chair of the City of Summit's Zoning Board and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Reeves-Reed Arboretum in Summit. In the past he served on the City's Environmental Commission and the Transfer Station Redevelopment Task Force as well as on the Board of several local non-profit groups. Tom is a graduate of the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY.
For the last 15 years, Tom has been working with various insurance agencies and consulting firms working with public sector and private sector clients in New Jersey. In 2001, Tom began working with Joe Maurillo. During this time, he has had extensive experience working with public sector employers and their group insurance programs.
Director of Risk Management, Dental and Client Services
Karen Waters brings over 30 years of customer service experience to her position at IMAC Insurance Agency. For the last ten years, Karen has been providing Risk Management, Dental sales and support as well as Claims Management to our clients. Karen also handles the firm’s risk management and casualty services. She is also responsible for all graphic design and desktop publishing.
Throughout New Jersey her diverse employment background includes positions at Seton Hall University in South Orange, Oak Knoll School in Summit and Nutley Savings & Loan in Nutley.
Karen earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Administration with minors in both Business and Philosophy from St. John's University, Staten Island, NY. Karen also received her Master of Arts degree in Corporate and Public Communication from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ.
Karen is a licensed Property & Causality, Accident & Health producer in the State of New Jersey and a member of the Wellness Council of America.
Account Vice President
Julie oversees overall account management, annual renewals, plan design consulting and pricing, tracking and analysis of claims experience, and responding to client questions on plan design and compliance issues for the employee benefit lines of coverage. Julie currently provides these services exclusively for governmental and educational groups. Julie is licensed by the State of New Jersey as a health producer.
Julie has over 15 years of experience in employee benefits, primarily in the New Jersey Public Sector and large group markets. Her areas of expertise include the design and operation of group health plans, union negotiations, experience analysis, and the review and analysis of pending and new legislation, regulations and other developments in employee benefits.
Julie has spent the last 13 years as manager of an employee benefits department and as the Senior Account Executive of key accounts at another leading agency. She is our newest addition to the IMAC team.
Business Development Executive
Anthony Luberto is a licensed Life, Health, Property, Casualty and Personal Lines Producer in the State of New Jersey. Prior to joining IMAC insurance agency, Anthony worked as a real estate broker specializing in commercial investment properties & development. The skills attained from owning and operating a successful real estate brokerage made his transition into the insurance industry seamless. Anthony is a driven and trusted advisor who is eager to assist IMAC in the business development role.
Assistant Director of Client Services
Elizabeth brings over 15 years of customer service and marketing experience to her position at IMAC Insurance Agency. Elizabeth is a responsible for overseeing all office and website matters as well as assisting with claim matters.
Elizabeth is also the Executive Director of the Cheer Me Up Foundation which helps underprivileged and special needs children. It is a cause very near to her heart in helping bring cheer to all the children and families they help, no matter what their hardships are.
Elizabeth is licensed as an Accident & Health producer in the State of New Jersey. She is hard working and makes sure the job gets done.
