We believe that our firm has many advantages in providing brokerage and consulting services to our clients that help us provide this level of service. These include the following:

- We have compiled a data base of aggregate claims data for public sector clients in New Jersey that helps us anticipate and respond to changing trends;
- We have expert knowledge of the SHBP, PERS, PERC (Public Employment Relations Commission), NJEA and NJDOBI; and
- We have an experienced team to meet with administration employees, Council and Board members, collective bargaining teams and other professionals.
Broker and Consultant Functions
As part of our standard array of services, we perform the following for our clients:
- Regular reports on our activities;
- Annual investigation and evaluation of alternatives for all employee benefit lines of coverage for which we are designated Broker of Record, including assistance with the preparation of Requests for Proposals;
- Insure that all policies and endorsements are issued on a timely basis and insure that they are accurate and providing current summaries of coverage reflecting any changes;
- Insure prompt issuance of certificates of insurance when requested;
- Assist clients to develop and implement short-term and long-term strategies to contain costs and improve services;
- In-depth quarterly reports on the group's aggregate claims experience highlighting where claims dollars are being spent and identifying potential problem areas – we do not like to deliver surprises at renewal time;
- Investigate additional cost management techniques – including disease management programs, wellness programs, health fairs, etc.;
- Identify areas of plan design appropriate for change;
- Identify emerging issues and keeping our clients well-informed on how their insurance plans might be impacted;
- Work closely with client human resources personnel on all aspects of administering the insurance programs, including employee questions and communication material;
- Attend governing body or committee meetings as requested;
- Participate in meetings with employee groups or other meetings as requested, including open enrollment meetings and explaining options to employee negotiating teams;
- Assist with the valuation of plan design options being considered for union or other employee groups; and
- All correspondence, data and reports prepared by us in conjunction with our functions as Broker of Record will be available to you for your inspection and will not be made available to anyone other than your authorized employees and members of our staff without your explicit consent.
